In September, a new West Papuan conservation organization was born. The Global Heart of Conservation Foundation (Yayasan Kemitraan Jantung Konservasi Dunia-YKJKD) was established by a group of concerned West Papuan leaders to support marine conservation efforts in the globally important Bird’s Head Seascape. We wish YKJKD all the very best in their important mission to conserve the West Papua’s heart of conservation.
