Have you ever heard of Alfred Russel Wallace? If not, you are about to…assuming you read (and view) on! Wallace was a 19th century British naturalist, who is now (finally) co-credited, along with Charles Darwin, with the Theory of Natural Selection. Wallace’s life was much more interesting than Darwin’s. His book, “The Malay Archipelago”, which reads like an adventure travel log, should be on everyone’s bucket list, especially if you are interested in Indonesia and the BHS.
Wallace visited and was WOWed by the area long before we were born!
I just discovered 3 incredible films by Nick and Cheryl Dean, which any visitor to the Raja and the BHS will definitely want to view. Spindrift Images films will take you on an incredible, magical journey and Wallace will be there as your guide. Don’t miss these incredible videos. Life on Wallace’s Line
Much of the footage in these films was created in Raja Ampat. Their other short films are very cool too. Not to miss!

Nick and Cheryl are both active members of the San Diego UnderSea Film Exhibition and the San Diego Underwater Photographic Society.
