Whale Shark Map

Below is a map indicating areas of the Bird’s Head from where whale sharks have been reported. The three large stars indicate the main “established” areas for tourism interactions with whale sharks (including Triton/Bitsyari Bays in Kaimana and Kwatisore and Nabire’s Moor Islands in Cendrawasih Bay), while the smaller stars represent occasional or one-time observations of whale sharks.
