The three large stars indicate the main “established” areas for tourism interactions with whale sharks (including Triton/Bitsyari Bays in Kaimana and Kwatisore and Nabire’s Moor Islands in Cendrawasih Bay), while the smaller stars represent occasional or one-time observations of whale sharks.
